Ofrecen focos led en programa piloto

La Zona Metropolitana de Guadalajara será una de las tres áreas del país en las que se pondrá en marcha, a partir de enero, un programa piloto para ofrecer a los hogares focos de tecnología led, los cuales consumen alrededor de 10 por ciento de energía que uno incandescente.
Juan Manuel Carreras López, director del Fideicomiso para el Ahorro de Energía (Fide), comentó que este programa es distinto al de Luz Sustentable, que ahora está vigente en todo el país, y en el que los usuarios domésticos de la red eléctrica nacional pueden ir a algunas tiendas departamentales a cambiar, de forma gratuita, cuatro focos incandescentes por cuatro focos ahorradores también llamados lámparas fluorescentes compactas.
En el nuevo programa piloto, donde también se incluyen las zonas metropolitanas de Monterrey y la Ciudad de México, se pretenden ofrecer 10 mil focos con tecnología led, que tendrán que ser pagados por los consumidores a través del recibo de la energía eléctrica a un costo que pudiera rondar los 250 pesos por luminaria, pagando el foco en un periodo de cuatro años.
“Lo que se está anunciando en materia de leds es la posibilidad de que la gente pueda adquirir con un crédito preferencial que se cobraría vía el recibo de la Comisión Federal de Electricidad para comprar leds que digamos es una tecnología en materia de iluminación también muy eficiente, como las lámparas ahorradoras, pero que tienen mayor duración y es hacia donde se están moviendo las tecnologías en materias de iluminación”, expresó Carreras López en entrevista.
El funcionario federal estuvo el viernes 9 de diciembre en Guadalajara, en el Club Atlas Colomos, en un evento para conmemorar los 20 años de activdades del Fide en Jalisco.
Por ahora, agregó, se está aún en la etapa de planeación, viendo que fabricantes que ofrecerán los productos y en la definición de la fecha exacta cuando se realice el lanzamiento del programa que durará entre enero y marzo para que, cuando termine este periodo, definir si se amplía la distribución de focos led a nivel nacional.
De acuerdo a la normatividad nacional, este mes de diciembre del 2011 es el último en el que se permite la comercialización de focos incandescentes de 100 watts de parte de las empresas productoras, como parte de las politicas públicas nacionales destinadas a disminuir el consumo de energía eléctrica y a la vez la emisión de gases efecto invernadero.
Un año después se dejarán de comercializar los focos incandescentes de 60 y 70 watts. El problema con esta tecnología, considerada como obsoleta, es que la mayor parte de la energía que consume un foco normal se va a la generación de calor y no a la iluminación.
Rubén Santillán Cisneros, gerente regional del FIDE para Jalisco y Nayarit, informó que el programa de sustitución de focos incandescentes por focos ahorradores ha alcanzado a 215 mil hogares, o sea 860 mil focos ahorradores entregados.
